This spring I had the unique pleasure of visiting the Kavalan single-malt whisky distillery in Yilan, Taiwan. The week previous to my visit, their Vinho Barrique Solist whisky won the World's Best Single Malt Whisky award from the Beverage Tasting Institute, so everyone was in a really good mood.
