Today: Picnic-ready desserts that are as portable as they are perfect.
Here is the start of a typical picnic basket checklist:
- A blanket
- Libations (lemonade, water, etc.)
- Potato salad, pasta salad, or other cool salads
- Cold fried chicken, for carnivores
- Tartines or veggie burgers, for herbivores
- Something sweet...?
That something sweet, though, takes a bit more planning. Dessert isn't known for its portability. For a picnic, you can't just scoop some ice cream and call it a day.
