There's pretty much only one option for snacks to eat while you watch Jurassic World, which comes out tomorrow on DVD: paleo snacks.
(Get it? Paleo! Cavemen! Dinosaurs!)
Okay, okay—we know that humans probably weren't stomping around the earth at the same time the dinosaurs were, but cavemen (and women) are as close as it gets. You may not follow the paleo or "caveman" diet or even really know what it is (lots of meat and vegetables and no grains, legumes, added sugar, or dairy—besides, blessedly, butter), but a lot of the things we love to eat already are paleo. So here are 8 snack-friendly, dinosaur- and caveman-friendly foods to make for your Jurassic World screening:
Bright Red Beet Hummus by Nicholas Day
Orange-Kissed Seed Crackers by Green Kitchen Stories
Roasted and Whipped Bone Marrow by Cara Nicoletti
Spicy, Smoky Homemade Kale Chips by Gena Hamshaw
Shanghainese Lion's Head Meatballs by cynthia | two red bowls
Apricot, Date, and Cashew Snack Balls by Gena Hamshaw
The Kitchn's One-Ingredient Ice Cream by Genius Recipes
Which dinosaur would you be? What's your favorite caveman-style snack? Tell us in the comments.
