Here's How To Make Your Gin Cocktails Bubbly and Bright

Since we’re gin people, we’re making classic cocktails (and riffing off them) with Tanqueray No. TEN. Today: Sparkling gin drinks meet all your festive cocktail needs.

Classic cocktails are classics for a reason: They're dang near perfect. Their ratios are reliable and drinkableness undeniable. Classic cocktails are like your favorite shoes that match everything, even that weird Paisley shirt your mom got you last year that, now, you're obligated to wear in her presence.

But even classics benefit from a little "oomph." Because if gin cocktails are great, sparkling gin cocktails can be better—and more jovial. Watch above as Rachel Ford, National Brand Ambassador for Tanqueray, shows us how to add a little bubbly to three classic drinks: The French 75, Bee's Knees, and Southside. "Adding bubbles does something to the flavor of a cocktail," Ford explains. "It drys out the sweetness." Make no mistake, though: Not-so-sweet is plenty sweet indeed.
