A glimpse into our editors' lives: Here's how the world looks from where we stand, from faux cocktails to late-night subs.
My Sunday project was Nanny's Apple Pie Cake. You make two rounds of pie-like yet puffy dough. One gets pressed into the bottom of the pie dish and the other gets pinched off and scattered over the chopped apple filling. —Sarah
After a rainy, frigid Saturday, Sunday was sunny and crispy and perfect—and I spent all of it walking around Brooklyn. Here's a sweet corner of Greene Grape Annex, in Fort Greene. —Caroline
This weekend, my boyfriend's mom treated us to dinner at Betony (an oddly located Midtown restaurant with a menu that's plays off of the classic dishes you'd expect to see in that part of town), and while they have some of my favorite cocktails in the city, I opted for a non-alcoholic beet "wine" that was as delicious as it was beautiful. Look at that color! —Leslie
Kenzi made these meatball subs at 2 AM on Saturday night. What did your manager ever do for you? —Ali
Not bad for a farm lunch at the Blue Hill at Stone Barns Harvest Fest this weekend. —Merrill
I am betting these concrete tiles are the most instagrammed thing at Dwell On Design. —Amanda
