Reykjavik, Iceland is a rather small city (120,000 people in the city, 200,000 in the metro region, 320,000 in the country altogether) that's pretty in that cold-climate Scandinavian sort of way, and full of charm. I visited for the Reykjavik Bar Summit in February 2015 and you can read all about that on this other post. The city center provides a few sights and plenty of souvenir shopping, but most of the truly thrilling stuff is found in nature outside of town. The city is known for nightlife, but what I saw (admittedly I didn't see very much) wasn't massive...
